Abstract

This theory-based paper first discusses the phenomenon of online hate speech based on the basis of technological functional principles of the Internet and social media, and their interaction with action orientations at the micro-social level. Following this, macro-sociological perspectives on pertinent social developments and factors are integrated to reach a more comprehensive understanding of the attributions of inequality in digital speech acts.
